It wasn't surprising to see Haruka on the roof. It would be surprising if there was chaos downstairs and Haruka hadn't retreated to the high ground. Kantarou hated climbing up the ladder after him, but it was easier than trying to talk to Haruka from the ground.

The sun was setting, and Haruka had his hand out, palm side up, catching sakura petals that were blowing in the wind. He caught them, and then let the wind carry them away again.

Kantarou sat down. He watched Haruka unabashedly. "It's going to get warmer soon. We should take a trip... maybe go see the ocean."

Haruka didn't move. "You're going to die."

Sighing, Kantarou leaned back on his elbows. "Yes, yes. Whenever you feel like it, Haruka."

"What will happen to me, then?" Haruka's voice was flat, and somewhat belligerent. Kantarou turned to look at him, but as always, his expression was blank.

"Whatever you like, I suppose. You won't be bound to me anymore. Well, I suppose you aren't now, really." Kantarou tilted his head back, and stared at the sky, the multitude of colors that bled together.

"I won't die," Haruka stated.

"No," Kantarou agreed.

"...Could you seal me back up before you die?"

Kantarou turned his head at the question, but Haruka looked the same, his hand open, the petals falling into his palm, and then floating away again. "...I can try. I can't promise I will. I might die unexpectedly."

"No," Haruka stated firmly. "I won't let you."

He shouldn't, but he couldn't help it. "I could get sick and die suddenly. I could get hit by a train, or hurt and killed when you aren't around."

"I'll always be around," Haruka firmly stated. "And you won't get sick."

Kantarou furrowed his brow. "I know you were upset when Suzu-chan died..."

"This is different. This is you." Haruka clutched his hand into a fist, crushing some petals. "You have to seal me away before you die."

Kantarou watched Haruka, watched him as he fist shook with the pressure of his grip. He smiled softly. "Ok. I promise."

Haruka nodded, and relaxed his fist.

Sighing happily, Kantarou leaned back, and closed his eyes. He would hate to seal Haruka away... but he had promised. And he didn't hate the idea that Haruka wanted him to do it.
